With just a little over one week to go before they square-off at The Rose Garden in Portland, Oregon on Saturday, November 19, “Pretty Boy” Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and Sharmba Mitchell both appear to be confident and prepared as they put the finishing touches on their respective training camps. Neither seems anxious to provide locker room bulletin board reading material for the other, opting instead to do their talking inside the ring. [details]

it will be a good fight though, close until the end
if mitchell goes about this fight the right way, he can really challenge floyd -
Floyd proves again he is a *****..
What has Mitchell done as of late?
Mitchell was in his PRIME in 2002-2003 when Mayweather was ducking him like a little *****...
I REALLY HOPE Mitchell beats the living **** out of Mayweather, but unfortunately it won't happen....

That's not true... Tszyu was handing Mitchell a very nasty beating before Mitchell had to retire on his stool.Originally posted by NoMasYeah, Floyd hasn't ever fought a slick southpaw like this guy. Also, Sharmba WAS beating Zoo in the first fight...till he got TKO'ed..
I actually thought that from the look on Mitchell's face, and the way he said, "I don't want to carry on, my knee's hurt" he was kinda looking for a way out. Tszyu was really roughing him up and had caught him with some heavy blows.
You could tell Mitchell had tasted the power and didn't like it one bit... That's why I was so suprised that Mitchell hung on for so long and persued the rematch. Maybe Mitchell thought things might be different the 2nd time...

I think Mitchell took some shots but I wouldn't call it a beating. In fact I think he could have come out on the scorecards with the win had it gone the distance and things played out the way they had up to that point.Originally posted by Martin (Top Knowledge)That's not true... The comparison with the Judah fight is valid, but remember that Zab was doing quite well for himself until he was KDed/KOed. Kostya was looking outmaneuvered in both fights but once he nails you with that power the game can change in an instant. Possibly Sharmba was looking for a way out, but tactically he had an edge of Kostya I would say.Comment

I'm going to be attending this fight. I live in Oregon so its not to far away. While I would have wanted to see floyd in there against some stiffer comp., I do see Mitchell as a very live dog in this fight. Mitchell would beat many of the top 140 pounders, so this should test Mayweather a little. Plus, Mayweather is known for his boxing, Tzsyu for his power. So, stylisticly speaking, I don't know if the Tzsyu fight is the best comparison. Mitchell is probably one of the best "boxers" that Mayweather will have fought infact, and hes a southpaw with power and size on Mayweather. I think this has potential of being a tough fight for Floyd, though he should definatly get the win. But Mitchell is not a bumb.Comment
