I love watching Andy Lee and think he's a great boxer with lots of range, power, and footwork... but Martinez would adjust to that robotic style and hammer him out of there. He gets hit with a lot of shots, and with the way Sergio punches, and finds ways to get punches in from everywhere, Andy will spend the last 10 seconds of the fight gazing into the ceiling trying to remember where he's from.

I actually agree that Andy Lee could give Martinez some trouble. Martinez is usually the counter puncher, but despite being the challenger, Andy Lee won't be the one coming forward. He'll make it a boring fight and stay on the outside so he could counter punch the whole time. Since there's so much pressure on Martinez making it an exciting fight, he'll be the only guy coming forward, which isn't his specialty. Stylistically speaking, I actually think Lee would give Martinez more trouble than Pirog because Pirog isn't afraid to fight coming forward.Comment

The bold is simply so unbelievably untrue. Tito went up to 160 & engaged in a tourney to become undisputed & eventually move up further to fight Roy Jones. He won a title, then it was him & B-Hop nest. Unfortunately for Tito, B-Hop had other plans.Sturm doesn't want Martinez and after last night against Murray I doubt Sturm will ever face anybody half way decent again.
Pirog only wants to fight in Russia.
Geale is saying he needs a few more fights before Martinez.
the guy is 37 and he wants the big money fights. it's no different then middleweight king Bernard Hopkins calling out welterweights Tito Trinidad and Oscar de la Hoya. it's all about the money. Money May brings the money, Pacquiao brings the money.
Secondly you must be tripping saying B-Hop called out Oscar. Oscar was the star not B-Hop, nobody could make Oscar fight B-Hop if he didn't want to.Comment

Dude is here to paint Sergio in the best possible light, and will go overboard and say things he probably does not believe himself. The bold is simply so unbelievably untrue. I don't begrudge Sergio for chasing after the money fights, he has a narrow window to cash in. It doesn't look like it's working so far, give him some more time. I hope he doesn't keep fighting EBU champs and guys that ran Sturm close in the mean time.Comment

All I know is that Sergio is the one fighting guys with great records and proving the most that he is the man....these other dudes fighting unknown prospects and rematching ESPN caliber fighters had better wake up because they aren't in the same league.Comment
