U.S. President George Bush presented the Presidential Medal of Freedom to former heavyweight champion Muhammad Ali today in a ceremony at the White House. Ali was one of 14 recipients of the medal, which is the nation's highest civilian award. This is the first of several high profile events for "The Greatest."
The next step is the grand opening of the Muhammad Ali Center in Louisville, Kentucky on November 19 and then, a trip to Berlin, Germany to see his world champion daughter Laila Ali fighting on the December 17 Ruiz-Valuev undercard.
