Another Filipino boxer being fed to the lions to make it look that Mexicans are better. It's a sham. Why not bring on Denver Cuello, Milan Melindo, Rocky Fuentes, AJ Banal, Lorenzo Villanueva, Al Sabaupan, Drian Francisco, Michael Fareņas.

There have been over 150 Mexican champions. I think it's safe to say that mexicans are more accomplished than philipinos when it comes to boxing. However, to answer your question, they're simply trying to build this kid up. Everybody does it; especially when there is a rivalry ala Mexico vs The Phillipines, Mexico vs Puerto Rico, etc... There will always be prospects being put against overmatched/beatable opponents (no matter if they're Philipino, Mexican, or Puerto Rican). That's how they become experienced.
