Nope actually it was this year. When JMM was given the chance to fight Khan and become the first Mexican to win a title in 4 weight classes. Instead he fought a pointless rematch with Diaz, a pointless mandatory against Katsidis and a pointless farce against Likar Ramos. Now you'll tell me those were better fights, I suppose?

JMM is one of my favourite fighters hands down. But pretending like he didnt turn down fighting Khan just because it upsets you is silly.

Pac = top of p4p list's, WAY more money, bitter rival

fight vs Khan = some guy who wants to make a name for himself fighting you, less money, and if you win they will say he beat a overrated fighter if you lose you lost to a guy KO'd by a bum

the only time zone a fight could have been made was in 2010 but imo Khan was still rebuilding his career and JMM fought once that year vs Katsidis and then was out due to injury
