"The fight is too big for it not to happen" -- Roger Mayweather

Las Vegas, NV - With talks of a Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather, Jr. fight heating up once again, I decided to pay The Mayweather Gym in Las Vegas a visit to get Roger Mayweather's thoughts on the sport's most sought out fight in decades.

Roger was his usual, unfiltered self, as he stressed the need for random blood and urine drug testing, an issue that has become the millstone of negotiations, but believes there's too much money on the table for the fight not to push through.

"The fight is too big for it not to happen," Roger said. "As far as talking about the test, this and that, he got to take the test. There ain't no way in the world he's going to get that money if he don't take that test. My whole thing is, he's going to take that test, my nephew is going to take the test, and they're going to get it on," he added.

Not one to mince words, Roger re-emphasized his thoughts about Pacquiao as an inferior fighter compared to his nephew and pointed out the Filipino idol's record and past losses as reference.

"People got to realize this: Whether they do it or not, Pacquiao already been knocked out twice. So there ain't nothing new about him getting knocked out again. The thing about the fight is that, everybody in the world awaits; everybody around the world wants to see it," Roger told me.

Asked how much longer the world has to wait for this superfight to finally come to fruition, the original "Black Mamba" expressed his belief that this May might finally be when it all comes together.

"I think it's probably going to happen in May... that's what I think. That's my timeframe. That's what I see," Roger revealed.

Roger also confirmed that members of Pacquiao's camp came to negotiate with them in Las Vegas, and judging by his calm and quiet confidence, it really does seem that this fight is going to happen in 2012.

And to close things off, a smiling Roger shared a message to boxing fans around the world: "We're going to see how good Pacquiao really is."

How is it that they do an interview with Roger, get quotes from him and use them but don't quote him AT ALL when it comes to the part regarding the investors/Koncz in the gym? Instead the writer just writes that Roger "confirmed" this? Some of these guys are funny.
