The corruptness in Filipino politics makes the US government look like schoolkids. There's a reason they were given first world status handed to them by the US and they spiraled to 3rd world status.

pretty sure they are always 3rd world. the spanish occupied them, then sold them to the US, then Japanese attacks and occupies them, then US takes it back, then they leave and say, hey youre on your own.

the philippines are only on their 15th president, their government are still young compared to the US.
