Margarito was barely even fighting. He knew he was going to be suspended maybe even banned from boxing he didn't even care about the fight.

after being around for long enough i am beginning to notice more corruption. i agree, it didnt look like he was trying to fight. maybe mosley paid him to lose so mosley could remain relevant

This was one of my favourite fights ever.

It was just stunning; how Shane was a big underdog and Margarito was found to have illegal wraps and all.

The beatdown was awesome.

Margaritto was finished after that fight his one good attribute was his "aura of invincibility" that he could walk though any punch to keep coming at you. When Mosley cracked that jaw it was the end for the myth of Margaritto. Fighters like him don't last long at the top because they soak up too much damage in a short amount of time. I don't care how tough you are if your main defensive technique is no defense you are going to get KTFO. Same thing is in store for baby Rito Rios once he faces some tougher competition.

Mosley not letting Margarito gain any momentum and using effective holding on the inside was brilliant. In the Cintron rematch though, Margarito was able to land power shots on Cintron despite being shoulder to shoulder and tied up inside.

Margarito was softened with bodyshots early on and was discouraged and weakened by the 4th round and had virtually no power as a result.

Pacquiao coincidentally hurt Margarito to the body early on as well which was interesting. I think i remember Cotto saying he couldnt get to Margaritos body at all though which is something he needs to do now obviously instead of headhunting too much.

shane was going thru a divorce at the time so he probably wasn't in his best state of mind either but the way he beat margarito makes it look like shane was at his best when it probably had more to do with the styles and the fact that margarito has always been an easy target
