'Mayweather should accept Pacquiao fight already'

MANILA, Philippines – Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) legend BJ Penn said boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao doesn’t need a 4th fight against bitter rival Juan Manuel Marquez.

Penn, who is currently in Manila to promote the sport of mixed martial arts (MMA), said Pacquiao already has 2 wins over the Mexican champion.

"Manny is 1-2… 1 draw and 2 [wins]. I think he's proved that," Penn said in an interview with ANC's Boyet Sison.

Penn said he saw the Pacquiao-Marquez fight and admitted that it was a close bout.

But the MMA legend said Marquez failed to bring the fight to Pacquiao.

"When I was watching the fight, I thought it was close… But Manny's the champion, you have to beat the champion," he said.

When asked about the Floyd Mayweather Jr. superfight, Penn said he hopes that the fight will be done soon.

"Mayweather should accept this fight already. This fight is what we've all been waiting for... UFC fighters, regular fans, we are waiting for this fight."

We know Penn got some recognition from Roach about his boxing skills, no surprise he is biased, specially after he got boxistically owned by some hispanic dude a few weeks ago (just like pac).

Mayweather has already accepted the fight, quite publicly, at that.

BJ Penn doesn't know WTF he's talking about, and he should leave the fight game to people who are actually skilled at it.

Of course Pac dont need JMM, he has 2 wins over JMM and it should be 3. Why give JMM a chance to get one back, of course JMM wont complain if Pac gives him another chance to beat him? Of course JMM is going to want that, but what does Pac get out of it, nothing? Youve got two wins, what would be the point of 3? Floyds only beat JMM once so hes doing better than Floyd already and everyone else.

If you can boast 2 wins over JMM your doing better than most.

Let's make 4,5,6,7 fights, until Marquez wins. Then let's make the 8th fight because it says so in the contract. Trilogies have a reason - it's 3 fights to ultimately decide who's better. So **** Marquez, beaten 3 times, time to move on!
