Ain't gonna happen. Kirkland is too dangerous for Canelo. After that performance against Angulo, GBP has to put Angulo on the shelf for a while. Canelo can't fight close. Trading punches with Kirkland at CLOSE range is too dangerous for Canelo. Kirkland's fitness would also endanger Canelo.

Seems like a big risk for Canelo. I'd be surprised if Golden Boy would let that fight happen
And I really don't think HBO will buy an Ishida rematch for Kirkland.
If I was promoting Kirkland, I'd get a fight made with Bundrage. Would get Kirkland a title. Relatively low risk. Certainly lower risk than any of the other title holders.
And Bundrage is a semi well known name. He is usually relatively sturdy and goes rounds. I'd think that HBO or Showtime would pick up the fight.

Wait wait wait so you are telling me you rather see Kirkland get in with a guy HE ALREADY TKO'd in 6 rounds than the guy that beat him and put the only blemish on his record? Ok........

the Ishida fight will ALWAYS be on deck for Kirk....can't let Cinnamon Boy get away....IMO he'll only get better with time....but atm, Kirk would abuse him....make the fight happen NOW....Kirk deserves a title shot and Anne Wolfe could get her chance at becoming the first female trainer to train a fighter to a world title...that would be cool!!!

Ishida is promoted by Canelo who is promoted by Oscar. Canelo as a promoter can tell Oscar to put Ishida on HBO again and Oscar has a lot of influence over HBO...

Wolak is not that good man. I think you are giving him a little too much credit.

That fight with Rodriguez is one of the worst FOTY nominees I have ever seen. Not really much skill from Wolak other than the ability to take many shots to the head. No really big bombs landing, not a real big momentum changing fight. Just one really tired guy bumping into another really tired guy and throwing tired shots. It was like watching Homer Simpson taking all those punches flush to try and tire the guy out. Really poor skill showing and really poor stamina showing. The only guy with skill in that ring was Devin, who was fighting for the first time at 154. Wolak gets trounced by and real 154 pounder with skill. Ishe Smith > Wolak.
