Maybe he does like Floyd and signs one fight deals with Golden Boy (or Top Rank), they promote the event but he's not exactly on their stable. Essentially, his Team has all the say as to who and when he fights (as long as the other side agrees). I can see Cotto doing this more than signing a multi-fight contract.

this is what set everything off... cotto is not happy at all on how arum went above and beyond to get margarito a license for the pacquiao fight, knowing that he did indeed use plaster with him inside the ring

yep I see the same possibility, really both guys have very few options left regarding big fights so it makes a lot of sense. Possibly tho Cotto will do something similar to Mayweather remaining independent but letting golden boy promote. I think he is done with Bob.

No they won't. Prime...hell yea!! Right now I disagree and you failed to mention that Angulo had a long layoff which contributed to him gassing out faster. But like I said before, it's my opinion. So I might be right or wrong.
