I mean looking at their last three fights, kinda begs the questions do they have anything left?

Cotto is younger, more active, less battle worn than Margarito. FACT
I'd say Cotto has more in the tank.
I'm not saying Margarito's is empty though. Like I said in another thread, Margarito is 33 years old and fighting in the pro ranks since the age of 15. With that come forward style and how punishment he's taken, sooner or later you've got to think that chin cracks. Not saying Margarito will be glass-jawed, but sooner or later it deteriorates. Also, considering he's been in boxing longer than Cotto, taken much more punishment (especially in the Cotto, Mosley, and Pacquiao fight), and that he's inactive...he's the underdog.
However, make no mistake, Margarito knows that it would be sweet, sweet, sweet victory if he were able to beat or stop Miguel Cotto in MSG in front of Puerto Ricans. If that happens, Mexicans will have a field day for YEARS to come. The motive for a repeat performance is enough to motivate Margarito into beating the crap outta' Cotto, I just think that he's got too many obstacles to overcome for him to win or at least be the favorite.
If I had a gun to my head, I'd pick Cotto based on the advantages.
The only person to have dispatched Mayorga with little to no difficulty throughout his entire career was Oscar de la Hoya. Even Tito had to hit him with the washing machine and a dryer for him to finally go down, and even then Mayorga had his moments. Oscar de la Hoya was the only one that went in there with Mayorga and said, "You ain't gonna' do ****!"
Mayorga is awkward, but tough.Last edited by TintaBoricua; 11-30-2011, 09:13 PM.Comment

I think Cotto
I dont think the Mayorga fight justifies the kind of condition he will be in this time aroundComment
