Comments Thread For: Berto's Trainer Wants Drug Testing For Ortiz Rematch

On Tuesday night I spoke with trainer Tony Morgan, known best for his work with former champion Andre Berto. I was curious as to Morgan’s take on the recent news surrounding a possible rematch between Berto and Victor Ortiz, and whether random drug testing would play a role in the fight. No offense Berto, but not wanting to take any chances with peds? looks like your taking your chances by hiring Victor Conte. It's just funny and ironic.

I don't see how Morgan can talk about Juan Manuel Marquez and drag him into the equation when JMM offered to take any measures of testing (blood, urine & feces) to proof that he is a clean fighter.

If you think about it Berto is on the same boat working with Victor Conte who did time for steroids. If Morgan is so concern, how come he didn't bring up this issue before Berto received his first lost. After all Ortiz proved to be clean when he fought Floyd.

What's quite funny about Team Berto insinuating Vic was on PEDS is the notion that suddenly Ortiz became Superman to defeat Berto.

Like....woah, there's no way he could've been clean for that fight to defeat the monster that is Berto.

                LMFAO.
