Margarito should consider himself dammed lucky that the commission were that worried about him throughout the fight. Never have I seen a fighter that coddled in between rounds by ringside physicians, then bailed out.

So RUNNING every second of EVERY ROUND against a guy who "cheated" and made your wife and kids cry is some how a "beat down"?

No one can question Margs chin ever. Some of those head kicking back shots were vicious!

Impressed with Cottos combos, more blocking defense, stamina etc.. Good training camp, no doubt.

Cotto kept at a distance, some will say running. But IMHO, he fought the right fight.

The stoppage was legit, but Marg would have fought anyway.

Yea, I think what Cotto did best were the combos after the clinch. I've loving the butt hurt Marg fans in here. BWAHAHAHA!!!! Cotto looked fantastic and his only "legit" loss is to Manny. Cotto is a beast and an ATG, period.

His first fight against Tony was a legit loss as well.

You can't sit on the ropes against a monster like Tony and take punch after punch and expect it to not have an effect.

Plaster had nothing to do with the first fight, rather it was strategy or lack there of on Cotto's part.

anyone suggesting margarito was gonna end the fight in the last three rounds are clueless.

The difference between the first fight, and the second fight in rounds 9+ is that Margarito actually was tied on points and had put on massive damage.
This time he was getting lit up, couldn't see and was desperately chasing a man he couldn't catch all the while having no pop in his punches.
8-1 or even 9-0 rounds for cotto.

If anything, cotto had a much better chance of stopping margarito due to punches than anything.

And believe me. Every cottofan in this world was screaming for them to send margarito out for more punishment. Losing an eye would be severe, but if anyone deserves it .. it's this ****ing scumbag.

I'm so with you I knew the last few rounds were going to be a bite sized version of the first, quick action sequences in which you already know Cotto would have won the exchanges through sheer boxing ability. Tying Margarito up, using that laser right hand and pushing him around ala Mosley....c'mon. Tony's ineffective bullying tactic proved only that he'd risk his health in the ring to capture a W, and that's exactly what he did. I hope he wakes up to two well seeing eyes tomorrow morning. Him and cousin Wolak.

If anything, this fight PROVED that he didn't use plaster in the first fight.

He landed way less punches, and still had Cotto swollen........ With the blood wiped off in the first fight, there was too much of a difference from this fight.
