Honestly I'm wondering why he's moving up unless he can't make JWW anymore.

Actually Devon kinda is a boring fighter.

And what bs. My ass Devon is going to slug with Marcos. Not gonna happen. Guarantee he is going to try to outbox him.

I think HBO said no to the Paulie fight for both Devon and Marcos. Good on HBO.

I like this much more than Alexander-Mlaignaggi.

The winner of Alexander-Maidana should fight Khan or the Berto-Ortiz II winner

Good fight. 147 is gonna be VERY interesting in the next year or so. I got a feeling that the samething is going to happen to 160 in just a couple more years.

Lol@ Khan struggled mightily against Maidana. Khan was easily winning that fight, up until the point he got caught, which was late in the fight with 2 rounds to go, and he won the last round without issue. I don't get the whole he owes Maidana a rematch nonsense. On the flip side you could say Maidana struggled with a past his prime Erik Morales.

if devon beats maidana would people lay off all this hate towards him? the guy is doing wht most all these fighters are not, he is takin hard fights, so i really dont get why mfs hate on devon. u dont think a fighter can advance from bad fights. u dont think he himself knows how important this fight is? lets watch the fight first, if he look bad then granted everything thts been said but if he goes in fuc maidana around then wht?

Devon's a good fighter, he just pulls his punches too much. He lacks a little self-belief, despite what Cunningham says, and that was evident in the Bradley fight and, to a lesser extent, the Mattyshe fight. The latter was tough and he probably eked it out but it could've easily gone the other way. Do I think he's capable of beating Maidana? Absolutely. He has more skill. He trains hard and can fight for 12 rounds. But if he gets caught up, he could get stopped. He's still a young fighter and he hasn't had all that many fights. I admire him for looking for big fights. Nobody wants to take Mattyshe on, but Devon did it, and he won. No one wants Maidana, but Devon will get a lot of credit and be firmly back on the map if he wins.
