Should Kermit Cintron go to MMA now?

let's face it, his boxing career is pretty much done.

The way I see it, in Kermit's prime he was a solid B level fighter. He never quite made it to the elite p4p level, but he was good, he was solid. Now wasn't Cintron an amateur wrestler, or something like that in college?

I think this would be a good business move on Cintron's part. He already has a boxing fanbase, and I'm pretty sure with his wrestling background and pro level boxing skills he would be able to make a good stand in the UFC or something.

    Thoughts?

Plus it would be more difficult to jump out of a cage.

He needs to stop fighting period.......MMA, if you can't succeed in one combat sport, try MMA and you might make it there lol

On a serious note, Kermit would be making a lot more money being a gatekeeper in boxing than he would be co-headlining a UFC PPV.

I remember when Kermit called Dana White on his bluff..

In April 2007, Floyd Mayweather, Jr. publicly claimed that any boxer could make the transition into mixed martial arts and win. In response, Ultimate Fighting Championship's president, Dana White, issued him a challenge to fight the promotion's lightweight champion, Sean Sherk. Mayweather later said that he did not wish to compete in the discipline. However, Cintrón stated that he was willing to fight Sherk in his place.[4] "I want the fight," said Cintrón, who is 27-1 with 25 KOs. "I can wrestle. I can box. I can beat those UFC fighters at their own game. Tell Mr. White to make me an offer and I'll take on his guy...."
Phuck it Kermit, you got my support! Go avenge Toney!

He could try but despite his Wrestling and Boxing it may be too late, Edgar or GSP would dominate him

What weight class would Cintron be in? He's basically a 147'er in boxing.

I'd watch him box Guillard or Diaz for sure.
