    Australian boxer Shannan Taylor is off life support and breathing on his own, however he remains in a critical condition. A spokeswoman for Wollongong Hospital told AAP that Taylor had been taken off his life support machine on Tuesday but he remains under close medical supervision in the intensive care unit.

                  The last article I read on this site made it seem like he had been taken off of life support and was therefore dead!

                  The article read like a eulogy, and never stated that he had been taken off life support because he was deemed no longer in need of it. It seemed like he was taken off because his situation was hopless!

                  I'm really glad to hear that such was not the case.
