How can you have a fight between two guys who fight in the same division and are universally ranked more or less Number 1A and Number 1B on top of the P4P lists, and one of them being a massive underdog all of a sudden, after the Marquez fight.

One thing I have noticed, is that the people who are coming down on Pacquiao because of the Marquez fight, they almost all picked Pacquiao to destroy Marquez, even though anybody with an ounce of real boxing knowledge would've predicted at least a tough win for Pacquiao (and I'm talking about knowledge of ring intelligence etc, as opposed to someone who could tell you what Rocky Graziano had for breakfast on the morning of the Robinson fight). In the weeks leading up to Pac Vs JMM, I couldn't believe the disrespect and sheer foolishness regarding the fact Marquez would get destroyed, mainly because of a handful of pounds that made a size difference that didnt exist, and because Manny can throw a right hand now. You would think these people would learn a few things from sitting just feet away from many fights which they are paid to cover. Mr Dan Rafael being one of the worst. Rather than man up and say "hey, I was wrong, Marquez is great, we should've known better", they have to take away from someone.

My main point is this ; If Floyd Mayweather lost his next fight, or was on the lucky end of a points win (like Pacquiao) I would still pick Mayweather to win. Simple.

I hope I am wrong about this, but I can see Mayweather getting nowhere near the credit which he would deserve if he beats Pacquiao (even in stunning fashion), and that would be seriously messed up.

It will just be "Credit to Floyd for doing what he had to do, but perhaps we have overrated Manny Pacquiao" or "Pacquiao past his best"....**** like that. You can bet your ass on it. If Pacquiao wins, however, well it will be the complete opposite, for a long, long time, and rightly so because it would be a great, great achievement obviously, but you have to be fair, when you look at it this way, I can see why Floyd gets so pissed off with certain people regarding this.

I'm a fan of both guys, but I believe Floyd is the better fighter by quite a stretch, but not because I think Pacquiao is ****, because I don't, I think Pacquiao is Mayweather's closest rival (with the exception of Martinez)....but for me, Floyd is ten pages ahead of everyone else before they even picked up the book.

Whoever wins, should the fight be made, they deserve all the credit in the world, and I will hate to see people detracting from a great achievement after all of the bull**** that went along with this fight so far.
You are **** on the money, what a damn good post man.

I have had to listen to that fanboy rubbish for nearly 3 years..... well, Pacquiao has to live up to that dribble now, it is time for him to step up.

And when Mayweather beats him, regardless as to how I actually feel about Mayweathers legacy..... every single ******* that has stated that Manny is the greatest of all time, will now have a new hero..... and you will NEVER convince me that Mayweather is not the greatest of all time (whether I think he is or not, and I do not).....

You bet *******s, FMj, the greatest of all time

Mayweather gets full credit for that win, because Pacquiao has been hyped by EVERYBODY.

The Mayweathers Clan starts quacking and dare naming Pac as the next slated priority one on Floyd May 05 outing! Thanks to Pac dismal peroformance with JMM, what a blessing in disguise! Because, should Pac annihilate JMM in a spectacular fashion, this wont and will never happen. Now we could see clearly the picture as to why Floyd did not name his next opponent on his May 5 clash announcement, served its very purpose this time. Floyd finds his balls so suddenly after witnessing the Pac-JMM 3 result! Though, this far from over, challenging Pac camp openly for another renegotiation is a positive sign showing that the hope of staging the much-awaited fight is clearly still beating! Bob, don't play so hard this time, strike while the iron is hot!

So he has been on the "juice" but decided to taper off the good stuff as not to wig out from withdrawals and beat his baby momma (who does that anyways?) right before a Mayweather fight?

Instead of the history between the two, Arum ingeniously devises a plan in which he uses JMM as a guinea pig to see how the beastly Pac would respond to a lessened dosage of "injecta-juice"?

I can see how that is more plausible than JMM is an excellent boxer and was in incredible form...............due to the drive he had based on the PRIOR HISTORY he and Pac shared.

Mosley looked like trash against both Pac and Floyd man....the kd was a joke and he lost 11-1, best case against Pac....that's not the best leverage to use in an effort to support an argument based on the notion that a guy is no good.

The fight before that, Pac utterly destroyed Antonio Margarito....that was a great fight...not sure if that was one of the "off nights" that he has had in his last three fights but I don't see it..........they almost didn't let Margs fights this weekend due to the damage that Pac did to him.

Bottom line is Floyd was THAT guy, he had his turn, his time to shine.................he retired.........twice. He was the guy on magazine covers and with sponsorships. The fans didn't turn their backs on Floyd, he turned his back on them. He then expects them to support him when he decides to return and he wants them to pay $70.00 a PPV to see him perform and burn their money in front of them when they had to sacrifice to even watch him.

He gave his "shine" away.....Pac picked it up in the interim....quit hatin
