Don't write him off just because he got caught...one punch can change everything in boxing. He will never be the RRJ of old...but he still has some interesting fights to be made if he so chooses.
Roy also said he had a horrible training camp too and it showed. The way Roy’s body looked didn’t look good his last fight and you can definitely tell he wasn’t 100% dedicated to training when you see him spending more time promoting then training in Russia. The Danny Green fight he came prepared but RJJ was ****y off the Lacy fight and he thought he was back, not thinking everyone knows all his tricks leaving his hands down just got caught in his sweet spot (side of the head) and couldn’t recover fast enough after the knockdown.

This next fight he’s been putting in mad work in the gym been training for like 3 full months; going back in forth from Pittsburgh, PA to Pensacola, FL training with Tom Yankello & Alton Merkerson. Maybe the brand new trainer has helped get RJJ motivated again but we won’t find out until after December 10th.

He could have retired 49-2 and would be much more of a legend than he is now.

if he retired after winning the HW title llike he should have

all good- tarver was never on his level

weight draining himself against a dangerous puncher was bound to end in disaster

after that he was never the same guy

          now its................depressing honestly

when you grew up and watched your hero do things no one else did- and then watch them lose to people who dont deserve to be in the ring with them- its hard to take- i cant watch RJJ fights anymore

same herethe last fight of his that I watched live was Calzaghe going into it I still had the tiniest glimmer of hope that some of the old spark was left especially after the first round but midway through the third i knew for certain that he was completely shot the rest of that fight was hard to watch and I haven't watched any of his fights since. (except for a few highlights which show him getting beat up sigh)

Most definitely! He should of left on that good performance right there.

Here some highlights from Jones vs Lacy. I think most of the fight is on youtube if you want to see more.

That's cool Reed you're lucky. I wish I had the chance to see him live having a dominating performance.
