At the end of the day all I did was point out that Alvarez said 150 and Floyd said 147. Some thought that was a lie.
    Well there's a big difference between 50/50 and a flat fee. It goes through 52/48, 55/45. 60/40, 70/30, etc.

But understood, once upon a time Canelo could make 150 no problem, so if he's still the same size he should be ok at 152. But usually 23 year olds are not same size as 2 years ago. Broner was just at 130 in 2011, what do you think happens in he tries to make 130 now?

I don't get it. Wouldn't Floyd fans want Floyd to beat Canelo when he is at his best so there's no excuses????
I'm pretty sure that is the perception of most everyone. However most also understand that the lack of experience is the real issue. Not that some 22 year old kid has to cut 2 pounds.

If you think Canelo can't win because of his experience you're making a mistake. He is so much better than he gets credit for and his youth and size and strength is going to really help him against small 36-year old Floyd.

I think a lot of fan awareness of CW came from statements like this, so no surprise it's taken seriously:

Which is why Floyd didn't demand a rehydration clause vs Alvarez.

Neither did Pac, so not sure why you're bringing that in. Floyd was complaining about the CW, read it again. He's basically saying Canelo stays undefeated one way or another. It actually solves Showtime's problem of finding marketable opponents for Floyd ppv. As long as it's a CW, they can keep rematching and keep calling it battle of the undefeateds

                  • Lol this is 2011, Floyd turned him down.

When Canelo grows into 160, people will still be asking for a 150lb catch weight 2 years later?

Floyd asked for the catchweight now in 2013 , he asked for it even though he supposedly fights champs at their weights, spent almost 3yrs dicrediting Pacquiao's greatness doe to catchweights and boasting up his resume.
                    lol what a hypocrite.

^^^Just proves Pacquiao is the greatest of our genereation.
