It doesn't make Floyd any different.
I see your logic, since other boxers have similarly dedicated themselves to the sport, Floyd should just shut up and not talk about his personal experiences? I mean, after all, if other boxers have done it, it must be old hat and not worth mentioning what a fighter actually gives to entertain his fans. Yeah, you make perfect sense; Floyd should just shut his mouth.

First of all, I never said Floyd should shut his mouth.
Second of all, Floyd shouldn't be playing the victim, he brought this upon himself. And he said boxing aint what it used to be? Jeezuz christ, it seems to me that boxing revolves around him.

            What an ego.

Geez dude, can Floyd say anything without drawing criticism? The guy has an ego, and I'm pretty sure there are alot of other boxers out there guilty of the same thing, not a punishable crime that I've ever heard of. Floyd was being reflective and talking about his impact on the sport, which is considerable. What's wrong with talking about it? He has every reason to be proud of what he's accomplished and given to the sport over the years.

It's as if some folks want Floyd to dig a hole and bury himself between fights, and I think that's pretty strange especially given that this is supposed to be a site dedicated to boxers and the fans that love them.
