it's gonna be tough to remember all the positives compared to the negatives in Vitali's 8 year career.. this sucks..

Heavyweights are the only boxers that "basic" boxing fans relate to now adays, this won't look that good to them, which equals less programming for the extreme boxing fan. and i'm worried espn isn't gonna make this look good either.

Yeah, it does suck. I think that for hardcore boxing fans, his career will always be a question mark.

HOW people remember him depends on WHO they are. Of course the haters/morons will see him as a no talent coward. The reasonable fans will remember him as something that could've been great, and the nuthuggers will remember him as SAINT.

He could have been the best of a weak era. He won't be remembered, but he won't be braindamaged either..

It will be a question mark no doubt but I will remember VK as the uglier of the two brothers, but thats just me.

I always thought he was a good fighter, and won't think any other way now that he has retired.

people will always remember him for having a huge heart in the Lewis fight, and they will also remember him for quiting on his stool in the Byrd fight, that being said he will be remembered as a good solid fighter who coould have been great but was stopped due to injuries, I dont know how I will remember him cause this is a big dissapoitment for me..

The fact is that he did not have a decisive fight. That was supposed to happen in the future, with Rahman or with even bigger names later on.

A TKO loss to Lewis isn't a decisive fight no matter what was on the scorecards. It's too bad he couldn't put together the run a lot of us thought was coming.

Usually you are remembered by who you beat. The highlights of Vitali's career were both losses, Byrd and Lewis. He has no big name victories.
