You do know he has been robbed like 3 or 4 times and could easily only have 1 loss, he may not be a natural athlete but he is a high skill level boxer who knows his craft and identity as a fighter. I could see him giving Canelo a hell of a time.

You'e right, I've seen Rod shine on ESPN. He does have talent. But now that I think about it, one of his fights on ESPN, I remember him getting stopped. This was when he was a prospect.

But the thing is, he never officially made it to the next level because he can't get over the ESPN hump that all big time fighters have to do.

I wouldn't put Canelo in the ESPN category, which is why I'm saying, I wouldn't be interested in the fight. Now unless you guys want to put Canelo back in the ESPN/free tv categories, we can do that. I would just ask for the WBC belt back first.

Playing with your opponent but losing rounds? Doesn't make sense, and some how the judges scorecards(bought off golden boy judges) had him winning the rounds he was clearly losing.

ok fine he lsot round. It was basically sparring. In sparring you arent trying to win rounds but to practice your game, which is what Canelo was doing, practicing that lame roll, which he abandoned cause he knew it sucks in his next fight.

I'm not saying he sucks, I pointed out earlier that he's talented and I believe that he has more room to grow and develop... but he still hasn't proven himself to be the number 2 in his division. Kudos for taking on Ryan Rhodes, but other than that he fought 2 welterweights and a Cintron who's clearly done.
As for Cotto, I don't know why he's number one. He might be the best JMW, but he hasn't made enough noise in that division IMO to be ranked number one. Yuri's a good boxer, but when Cotto fought him he was fighting him with a bum knee that kept giving out... didn't have Yuri that high on my list anyway either. Mayorga... that dude's crazy, and if I remember correctly he spent the whole fight trying to land bombs. Again, I don't think that win warranted him being ranked high either.
Again, this is just my personal opinion. I'm aware he was ranked number 8... apparently he jumped on after beating Ndou.... another welterweight who jumped up to fight Alvarez.
I don't know, I just fell that he's ranked so high on the list but in the year he's been on there, he's fought 3 WW out of 5 opponents.

Since he's been ranked in the Ring's ratings for JMW, of the five opponents he faced, 3 of them were welterweights.
