your calling rahman a hasbeen when vitali got forced into retirement at 34 because his body is broken from roids and he is to afraid of getting hurt to fight him. thats just lopsided and rediculous. you really must be derranged.

correction: rahman won the title ONCE and was given it ONCE.
correction: rahman won it twice, once against lewis and once against monte barret for the interim title....

sure he beat lewis with one punch but this is boxing, KO's happen. sure he was beaten by lewis in the rematch but it doesnt nullify the fact that he defeated lewis.

He beat Lewis with one punch, and was beaten with one punch in a rematch he almost refused to fight in. Sanders almost knocked him out of the ring, and Oleg did...

had vitali not retired, you could only say rahman won it once. getting the belt handed to you without a victory isnt winning a title.

if lewis wasnt so unprepared and didnt have such a weak chin, that 1st loss to rahman would never have happend.

but vitali did retire and that means rahmans fight with barret was for the wbc title.

according to you then, vitali was never champion... same thing happened.

You are right. He gave up a 7.8 million dollar payday to avoid Rahman.

vitali won a vacated title against sanders. the winner of that match would AUTOMATICALLY be awarded the title. not the most dignified way of winning, sure. but since when has the HW division ever had dignity?

barret and rahman fought for the interim title, meaning they only would be awarded the title if vitali vacated or lost to either of them.

rahman's fight with barett was months ago and NOW hes "champ".

vitali was awarded the belt directly after his victory over sanders.

Rahman's the Champ, and Vitali will be nothing in the history books. At least Rahman KO'ed Lennox Lewis, and now he's a two time champ. If Rahman beats the other champions, you can't argue that he is pretty damn good. Honestly, other than the Ruiz fight and 2nd Lewis fight, has Rahman EVER looked bad?

He got screwed by the referee against Tua in a fight where he'd won damn near every round.

2nd time around, he just got flat out screwed on the scorecards.

                  He KO'ed Lewis and Sanders

He won every round against Maskaev before he got sloppy and KO'ed.

Face it, a dedicated Rahman might be the best heavyweight in the world right now.

                  Other than James Toney
