I thought Arum said they just agreed to the same demand Floyd has been asking for since November 2009, please correct me if i'm wrong.

The signals coming out of the Floyd Mayweather camp are negative so far about finally producing the biggest event in boxing history, Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather. Let me explain…
Michael Koncz, the advisor of Manny Pacquiao traveled to Las Vegas to pay a surprise visit with Mayweather at his gym, and of course, to talk business. But almost immediately, Mayweather’s mouthpiece at fighthype.com attempted to portray the meeting as insignificant and that no negotiations took place and that the maneuver was probably merely a bluff move by Top Rank and Pacquiao to make it seem like they want the fight. It was a strangely negative response by Mayweather’s mouthpiece to an encouraging first step taken by Arum and Top Rank.
Next there is the curious insistence by Floyd Mayweather about how the fight must be on May 5 in Las Vegas. Why is May 5th so important for Mayweather? It’s the Cinco De Mayo holiday weekend but that fact has no relevance to a Pacquiao vs. Mayweather clash. They can stage Pacquiao vs. Mayweather on a Tuesday morning at the MGM and it will still be sold out and it will still break pay-per-view records. The fact that Mayweather continues to insist that the fight must be held on May 5 is an ominous sign. Why? Because it means that all Mayweather has to do is find some new excuses to block the fight, then he has his May 5th date for his next fight, which he of course will use to fight a Mexican, most likely Erik Morales, who is scheduling a tune-up for January.
More negative evidence came in the latest Floyd Mayweather video on fighthype. Once again, Mayweather defiantly attempts to discredit Pacquiao’s achievements by saying that he still doesn’t believe how a C level fighter can suddenly become an A-plus level fighter and that Pacquiao has lost six times including all three times to Juan Manuel Marquez. Mayweather also referred to Pacquiao once again as “Poochiao” in the video. This does not make sense. If Mayweather really wanted to fight and beat Pacquiao, and truly believed in his heart that he could win the fight, wouldn’t it make more sense for Floyd to embellish and build up the achievements of Manny Pacquiao? So as to glorify the grandness of the monumental victory that he knows he’s going to score on May 5?
It doesn’t make sense that Mayweather is still in the jealous and envious mode of trying to downplay and diminish Manny Pacquiao. Unless of course, he has a secret plan that he must again duck Manny Pacquiao because he still fears that Pacquiao can perform up the electrifying levels that he showed against Miguel Cotto, Antonio Margarito, Oscar De La Hoya and Ricky Hatton, and not the disappointingly flat example he showed against Marquez earlier this month.
But the question remains, how could Mayweather possibly pull off yet another duck of Manny Pacquiao now that the Filippino Destroyer has agreed to all testing and with all the public and media pressure on him to finally shut up and put up and just fight Pacquiao? Well, it won’t be easy but the greatest ducking dodger in the history of boxing can do what he does best. He can find a reason and lock in on it. I suspect Mayweather is going to hone in on one the one area that he has many times before – Bob Arum.
When the time comes, Mayweather can pretend that it’s all Bob Arum’s fault and that he does not trust Arum and doesn’t want Arum to be the one in control, to be the one doing all the negotiating with the deep-pocketed investors who all want to be a part of this historical event. Mayweather indeed can successfully sabotage the fight by forcing Arum to stick to the May 5th date and then by refusing to play along with Arum’s calling of all the promotional shots and negotiating deals.
Then once again, when Arum, who is 80 years old, hits the breaking point of frustration in trying to make the fight for the third year in a row, and jumping through all of Mayweather and Al Haymon’s hoops, Mayweather will be safe and home free to run to his May 5th date vs. Erik Morales on Cinco De Mayo weekend.
Can the greatest ducking dodger in boxing history continue to pull off the greatest duck in boxing history? Don’t be surprised my friends. Cowardice is a very difficult state of mind for a fragile man to overcome.
