not making any guarantees or anything, but it think its obvious that Wlad would walk over both Ruiz and Byrd, and i think hed also walk over Rahman should he be made WBC champ. That leaves Brewster.... he should only fight Toney if and when Toney actually wins a title.

not saying i know how it will happen.

but should a tournament be set up all 4 titlists would be locked down for 6-12 months. two of them will lose belts right away which will make it pointless for wlad to fight them. and the winners will need 4-6 months to get ready for the final. and the unified champion would need 4-6 months after that before he could even fight wlad.

It was humiliating to be KO'd after all that talking that he did. I remember him running his mouth right until he got KTFO. This time he would run his mouth too, claiming that he scared VK into retirement and that he is the best of the best out there, right until Toney would school him.

But why? Toney is the most talented heavyweight in the world

1. It hasnt been established who the best heavyweight is, although experts were saying Vitali, which I think was pushing it very far.

2. He is an overstuffed middleweight who is 37 who shows up to fights out of shape

3. People were calling the Ruiz loss to Toney humiliating. And people have a much higher opinion of Rahman so it would look worse if HE lost.

Perhaps I exaggerated a bit but it still wouldnt look good.

dont forget that if there is a tournament byrd and brewster may both lose their belts in the first round.

does anyone know how a heavyweight unification tournament would affect the mandatory defense guidelines. surely byrd or brewster will not be expected to defend their title in between tournament bouts.... how does it work.... someone who knoes please no ****** guesses.
