shavers might hit harder. . . but i just don't see tyson and foreman having greater power. . . tyson's power basically went away once he stepped up in class. . . ie = buster douglas and holyfield. . . foreman had good power, but not the one shot power of wladimir. . . if a young foreman and a young, aggressive wladimir went at it, i see foreman falling down first. . .
where would you rank wlad's punching power

Same could be said with Wlad when he stepped up a class with haye and foreman down first? Lol all foreman would need is one right hand against Wlad and that'll be all she wrote.shavers might hit harder. . . but i just don't see tyson and foreman having greater power. . . tyson's power basically went away once he stepped up in class. . . ie = buster douglas and holyfield. . . foreman had good power, but not the one shot power of wladimir. . . if a young foreman and a young, aggressive wladimir went at it, i see foreman falling down first. . .Comment

In the current era he's definitely up there, but there are a few fighters out there that really suck at everything except punching and may just hit harder. Tua and peters should be mentioned. I watched a fight of Amir monsour, dunno who it was against, but he ko'd the dude with his right hook. That punch looks really nasty, I haven't seen his other punches yet tho.Comment

That's what I wonder all the time...is this guy serious about Wilder becoming the next undisputed champion or is he just trolling, I asked him that twice already.Comment

Wlad could potentially be one of the hardest hitters ever, but he so rarely puts his full weight into the shot, preferring to peck away with the jab for round after round till he's broken the guy down physically and mentally. Guys like Tyson and Shavers went all out on their power shots, really launched themselves into the punch like their life depended on it. Foreman's power was a different kettle of fish entirely. He was a heavy handed fighter, limited by speed and technique but enormously strong. Any shot he threw, no matter how he threw it or at what point of its trajectory it hit you was going to do damage. This isn't the case for someone like Wlad who needs to get full extension on the shot to cause maximum damage. When he does however, there are very few fighters who can stand up to it.shavers might hit harder. . . but i just don't see tyson and foreman having greater power. . . tyson's power basically went away once he stepped up in class. . . ie = buster douglas and holyfield. . . foreman had good power, but not the one shot power of wladimir. . . if a young foreman and a young, aggressive wladimir went at it, i see foreman falling down first. . .
I will say though that Tyson tends to get shortchanged in discussions like this. He was one of the hardest one hit punchers of all time in the heavyweight division, harder than Shavers certainly and comparable to the very best.Comment
