    Running his mouth...

I have noticed recently that Tarver is calling out EVERYONE. From Tyson, to Lacy, to Roy,etc. The fact is....he better be careful what he wishes for because even a shot Tyson has a GOOD chance of knocking tarver the **** out. Think about it....if Tyson ever goes into that killing machine mindset and shapens up, he could really damage tarver. Lacy would do the same. I think tarver is a good fighter, but his last few fights have not impressed me at ALL. Therefore, him calling out all these guys is not a good idea. What do you think?

I read a recent interview where he said Lacy has nothing to offer him and that he wont be fighting him anytime soon.

      Tarver is overrated

      Tarver loses to Lacy.

Tarver is calling out people because he needs name recognition, he needs the public eye, and he needs another payday or two before he retires. He doesn't have many years left in the tank and he needs to make all of his remaining fights either for fame or money, or preferably both.

Tarver, in his new position in the game, is self promoting just as Ali did in his day. While I would not compare Tarver to Ali in the skill department, in the marketability department Tarver is at the top because of his recent victories.

Boxing is not all about getting fights that you are sure to win. These fighters are in there to make there mark in the history books and more importantly to generate as much interest and income as they can in their short time at the top.

Tarver against Tyson would be a hard one to call. Tarver being a gifted boxer and Tyson being an aged puncher, its a toss up in my mind , although I would give Tarver the edge.

Lacy, who beat an image of the Bernard Hopkins that we all have grown to love, would have some trouble with Tarver. Lacy being a powerfull man and again Tarver being the more gifted boxer. I would again take Tarver in this one, although its a tight race.

Everybody loves to bash the man who is grabbing the spotlight on this site. Well, not everyone but to me it seems far to many get caught up in the **** throwing. Tarver is a man who has spent his life in the game. Many, many years in the amatuers followeed by a slow and calculated climb to the top in the pro game. He dropped Jones hard. At that point5 he bacame the man to beat. After losing to Johnson and then winning the rubber match he again took Jones. Give the man some credit.

How much a fighter talks, especially the trash talking, directly equals his ego and need for exceptance. But the bottom line to it all is the money and Tarver has paid his dues and is entitled to a hefty payday should the fighter come up with the real marquee value.

            Lacy is a super-strong 168lber...
But, that doesn't mean he goes up to 175 & starts steamrolling everyone.

I think Tarver would decision him, right now.
