Is Alvarez trying to cash out against Floyd or prove himself?

Prove himself that the fighters he has fought lately aren't 100 percent cherry-picks? Floyd owns this kid and this kid would be happy with the payday since he is clearly trying to cash out because he knows how limited he truly he is himself.

He aint trying to cash out, he actually believes he is a elite fighter, he is so fed up he thinks he is already there.

He even refuse to be a co-headliner for the Mayweathier-Ortiz PPV, and he said he refuse because he is a main event fighter not a undercard fighter.

    Floyd whopps him 12-0

Floyd better not give this kid a fight, I don't think a kid who has been beating up on midgets who weren't even from 154 weight class and shot passed fighters like Cintron(looked like **** in his past 2 fights) deserves a crack at Floyd. But thats just my opinion.

Either way he'd be making good money off a fight that I don't feel he has quite earned yet.

I believe he wants it for the money but will work for a win.

If he loses, oh well, he can say he lost the best fighter in the world, and continue making money in Mexico.

Seems like a good deal to me tbh, wouldn't you do the same?

I really think he's delusional enough to think he can actually win. He's gotten too big for his britches. He called out JMM and he said he's too good to be fighting on a Mayweather undercard. This kid needs to be taken down a peg.

haha, exactly what i was going to say. everyone around him has been saying that he is the future that he actually believes it now, even though he hasn't proven it. you can't get any bigger than mayweather in boxing, he's doing it to show he'll fight the best and it makes sense moneywise.
this is what he is thinking:
1-"i fight and beat mayweather, i prove i'm the best around and become the future everyone has been saying i'm going to be."
2-"i fight and lose to mayweather, my name is even more out there and now there's nothing else to do but improve and move forward."

if he comes out mentally and physically okay from this fight, it's a win/win situation for him....

Yea... honestly I don't think he has proven himself as an elite fighter yet. Mayweather and him would generate a lot of buzz though and would sell... despite Canelo taking a beating in the process. He honestly believes he's that good... I feel bad for him. I remember Oscar was telling him he's the man to beat Pacquiao last year.... I don't think he can even do that.

he's 21, he's young and thinks he's the ****. mayweather brings him crashing back to earth. first defeat to a guy that young, who's had as many fights as he has (false sense of being unbeatable) could be devastating. if Golden Boy thinks he has a future, they won't put him in there with Floyd
