(I hope this is acceptable to post here).

I've become bored of following Wilder because of the lack of any real competition. 20-0 with 20KOs is impressive on paper, but his level of competition has been absolutely horrible. I understand that his people want to move him slowly because of his lack of experience, but I don't think the sort of matchmaking he's been given is doing him any favors in the long-run. It is almost enough to make you wonder whether they are just building him up in order to feed him to someone and then cash out on a payday, although this would be a more tempting thought if not for the wide-open/pathetic state of the heavyweight division.

In any case, it does seem plausible that his people have been trying to move up his level of competition, ever so minutely, over the span of his last 3 fights or so. The fact that he was apparently dropped and badly hurt several fights back by Harold Sconiers doesn't seem to bode well overall.

By the way, has anyone seen that fight? It's nowhere to be found.

The ****.....it was an average KO at best. I like Deontay...he's is facing nobody though....Lennox started off slowly but he was fairly established after 4 years, Deontay's taking the piss.

I think any decent Heavyweight taps that suspect chin. Ive seen some amateur footage of Wilder moons ago and he was fairly hurt a couple of times, stumbling round the ring. He's also been dropped as a pro. That fat **** Nichols dropped him but it was ruled a slip. Sconiers too.

The guy won a bronze medal with like 15 amateur fights.

He's got prodigious abilities, but I don't like the way his matchmaking has progressed.

Fighting a lot is better than not fighting enough, but I think they need to rely on more work in the gym, as I don't think he is benefiting from knocking out the bum of the week continuously.

Wilder needs to fight someone who actually believes they have a chance of winning; someone who actually tries to knock him out. I don't see how these fights are helping him develop. His opponents are little more than walking punching bags.

Totally agree that we see too many of these non-competitive showcase fights for hyped young guys -- either put them in against credible opponents or keep them of the TV screen....

Come on guys this is boxing.

Not just Deontay, but every fight this sat night was a complete mismatch. Even Cintron was a crap opponent, he was shot and had lost 2/3, yet a champion is fighting him for the title?

Thats why boxing is such a **** sport. Everybody is just fighting bums, with some fighters taking the occasional risk.
