at least this long-awaited match is getting a little relevant again. i almost lost interest in it already. now, hopefully arum will change his mind and postpone the marquez 4th fight. Anyway it will still be there even after the mayweather fight. as it is now, the luster of the megafight has been somewhat dimmed with pac`s recent fight. but oh well the confirmation would not come out for another 3 to 4 months, i guess zzz
Too bad the feeling's not mutual with Mayweather. Nowhere do you hear Mayweather saying he wants to fight Pacquiao too. De La Hoya is just trying to save Mayweather's face and his routing number to the Golden Boy bank account. Mayweather is the one with the most pressure and that's why he's probably been talking smack about a tune up *cough*DUCK*cough* in February (which means a May 5th Pacquiao fight's off the table) and all these Golden Boy branded tune up fighters suddenly pop up in the media discussions. Nobody's gonna pay for a tune up at this level. Get the damn fight done gadammit.
It's up to Arum and Floyd now if they want this fight to happen.
Hopefully Floyd won't demand any more road blocking demands and Arum won't sweet talk PAC into fighting JMM again.
what's Pacquiao supposed to say? "no I don't want to fight Mayweather"
this fight won't be make at least for a few more years. Leonard v Hagler took a decade to make. neither guy is going to wreck a good thing. when Mayweather or Pacquiao start taking blows in PPV number then they'll fight each other.
as long as both can draw over a million in PPV buys, why fight each other?
Pac probably fights Marquez, Bradley, Rios and maybe even Gamboa before Arum lets him fight Floyd.
Mayweather is fine without Pacquiao. when he can make 80-20 splits with guys, he makes even more then he'd make with Pacquiao. Mayweather v Pacquiao would have to sell over 3 million to get him the money he's making now.
