Its not that canelo isnt willing its that golden boy isnt willing. GB will protect canelo from Kirkland no doubt about it. Further the WBC still has Angulo #1 even though he lost and i believe they only have Kirkland around #13

Honestly, I know Molina drew with Lara and beat Cintron, but I'm not a big fan of that fight.

There are so many more explosive fights for Kirkland at 154:

Vanes
Cotto
Margarito
Angulo II
Omar Henry - He's inexperienced but why not. He needs to step up soon anyway.

Right but which of those can happen? Cotto - no way. Margarito - no way. Wolak would be good but hes got to wait till he fights Rodriguez first at least. Vanes i doubt would take the fight that guy seems to turn down everything. So yeah realistically not many options ...im sure Lara is but id stay away from that if was james.

At 154, I'd like to see Kirkland fight Cotto-Margarito II winner to be honest.

Kirkland vs. Cotto-Margarito II winner
Alvarez-Cintron winner vs. Chavez Jr. or Molina
Trout-Mundine winner vs. Martirosyan
Lara vs. Bundrage

Than, let it all fall into place after that. If Kirkland were to prevail over Cotto or Margarito, and Alvarez were to prevail as well, have a mega fight with them at the end of the summer or early fall. If Trout and Vanes were to fight, let the winner of that fight Lara, if he beats Bundrage.
