Mazatlán, Sin.- The weights are in for Saturday's big event called “Historia en Mazatlán.” Televised by Fox Sports and TV Azteca, and promoted by Zanfer and Top Rank, Jorge “Travieso” Arce (58-6-2, 45 KO’s) faces Angky Angkota (25-5-0, 15 KO’s) for the vacant WBO bantamweight title. A rematch of their clash from 2010, which Arce won by a seven round technical decision after the bout was stopped early due a cut suffered by Angkota from a clash of heads. Arce stepped on the scale and weighed the division limit of 118-pounds, while Angkota was 117.5.

Is there anyone who actually dislikes Arce? He's gotta be one of the all-around most likeable fighters of his era. No matter what, he just keeps fighting and fighting.

In all honesty, I sometimes get a bit tired of him. I think he's a good, entertaining fighter who always leaves everything in the ring. Where I get annoyed is when he and his team start talking about four and five world championships in the same weight classes. He had a legit title at 108 (that he lost to a washed up Carbajal), an interim title at 112, a gift title at 115 (that he won against a bum), and a somewhat weak title at 122 (he won it against a fighter who never should have been champion in the first place)... He's a solid fighter but pales in comparison to the Olivares, Sanchez, Chavez, Morales, Barrera, and Marquez!

You gotta take that with a pinch of salt.Nobody rates his 5 ''world titles'' anyway.

A title is a title and bragging rights have no restrictions. Where Arce messed me up was about two years ago, I quit on him (in writing) and he made me look like a fool. I'm glad I don't know everything, but I don't like my face shoved in it. He fooled me.
