Why would Arum hate Floyd when he really didn't make **** off of him as a fighter. There was hardly an effort put into promoting him.

Oscar on the other hand, was TR golden cow, had a ton of money put into promoting him, only for Oscar to leave (smartest move in the history of boxing IMO) and make more money than Floyd. Not only make more money...but still fighters and become an actual threat to Top Rank.

Despite all of this, and their obvious dislike......Arum can do business with GBP but for some mysterious reason he can't with Floyd? Sorry, but I don't buy that b.s.

I ask because whatever excuse you will make in Floyd's favor, I can use countless examples as to reasons why Don King and Oscar wouldn't do business with Arum....but guess what...they have worked with Arum on numerous occasions.

I get where you're trying to go with this..but outside of Pacquiao, did Oscar fight Margarito or Cotto?

Sure, Arum might be thinking about DLH-JCC Jr, but everyone in Mexico knows that Canelo vs JCC, Jr is THE FIGHT they want to see happen. If what you're saying has merit, I'd like to see Arum and GBP work together and make that fight happen. What would be the point of having Oscar come out of his retirement to fight JCC Jr? For his pops? Sure, it's a great storyline, but it'd be baseless and there's really no need for that fight to happen at all

Fair point. I can glady accept Arum being the problem at this point.

However, Floyd fans and fighthype are trying to spin this as Arum being the problem all along. I don't think anybody with an ounce of sense would believe this as it wasn't Arum that requested or denied OST. He also didn't force Floyd on vacation or cause him to got into his legal trouble.

I think they're all to blame. To start things off, IMO, I do believe Floyd was hesitant to face Manny in case he lost.. Manny, may have been reluctant, but I believe it was Arum who was afraid to lose his cash cow. After the botched negotiations the first go-round by Arum & co. I believe Floyd saw something and ran with it(testing.) Since then he's stayed firm on it and kept that stipulation on the table.

The vacation thing was him doing what Arum and Manny's team was doing to Floyd himself. Not budging on his demands. Therefore I blame both parties. However, fast forward to November 2, 2011 (or whatever the date was,) it's clearly been Arum's fault as to why this fight isn't happening.

Was Floyd "scared"? Maybe. Scared is a strong word when it comes to boxing so I'll say he was skeptical of the Manny phenomenon. Was Manny worried? Sure, but never afraid to actually lose to Floyd.

Has/Is Arum kept this fight from coming to light. Yes. Yes in 2009, and yes in 2011. They all deserve some blame, but the brunt of it goes to Arum, IMO.
