It may be another PPV rip off. Margo's eye gets busted up, Doctor stops the fight, fight ends in technical decision. Turns out that Margs eye wasnt really that bad, doctor clears him and we have a third fight. Arum gets richer

Then Cotto should just box him and keep the fight in the center of the ring.

I think the key points for a victory for Cotto would be:

-Keep your back off the ropes

-Be consistent with your jab

-Use less leg movement

-Hold Margarito more to conserve energy

-Don’t be a head hunter going only for the eye mix it up going to the body

-Get Margarito’s respect early in the fight.

By the way, I’m one of the few who think if Cotto wins it would be on the score cards and not by KO/TKO.

in the first fight cotto boxed beautiful n even though it might have been his best performance in a losing effort he did 3 very uncharacteristic things. first, he was more scared of the hype surrounding margarito than he was of margarito the man. second, cotto is a body puncher n he head hunted all day, despite being 3-4 inches shorter then margarito. n third, he back peddled the whole fight, before that he'd imposed his will against his opponents, n was exhaustd mentally n physically by the end cuz of his sudden change of style. plus the fact that margarito cheated. cotto kicks this washed up punks ass this fight.

thats because you think w/ your brain while the rest of these idiots swear up n down cotto is some type of wrecking machine lol...your gameplan above would be a perfect one but there's no way margarito lets him fight a perfect fight, he'll definitely get his licks in, no doubt...the question is, will cotto flee from his plan once he feels that heat or will he be persistent...it says here he gets rattled again by the constant pressure n folds up his tent...if cotto wins, he'll do it on the cards, there's absolutely no way he stops margarito, none.

That’s only because there’s too much nationalistic sentiments on BOTH sides. While Cotto did lose in his first outing with Margarito that was in no way shape or form one-sided fight.

To be honest, as much as people tend to say that Cotto lost something in that fight truthfully BOTH Cotto and Margarito left something of themselves in that fight alone. I mean, if anyone watched the fight closely both participants were throwing bombs early and BOTH were just physically taxed after this fight.

Some here argue Pac capitalized with this because again BOTH Cotto and Margarito were never the same after their fight.

Concur. Cotto needs to stand his ground more and get Margarito's respect by going hard to the body early and often. Everybody knows that Miguel made a big mistake by giving Margarito too much respect and trying to fight like Rocky in the Clubber Lang rematch. He looked pretty at times, that is certain, but he just didn't have the lungs or legs to sustain that kind of fight for 12 rounds, so there is no way that he's going to perfect that style now. Personally, I think that Miguel learned all he needed to learn about beating Margarito when he saw Mosley take him apart. He's sharp and strong enough to put it on Margarito the exact same way. If he gets walked down and beaten by trying to box cutely from range, then I have no sympathy for him or his corner. There is a very clear blue print layed out to beat Margarito, so Cotto has no excuse to screw this up.

I just dont understand how Margo will defend his eye when his best defense is to catch those punches using his face while attacking his opponent.

Cotto needs to ATTACK HIM STRAIGHT AWAY get right in his face and use his superior skills and movement to BLITZ THAT EYE the sooner cotto bursts it wide open the better i think miguel is right tony was willing to seriously endanger his opponents life......

A few things haved changed in Margarito,That will be his downfall,

Margs has power but not as much with out his plaster.He's been K.O'd brutally by Mosley,and Tortured by Pacquiao,his eye has gone to zhit, and coming off another year lay off

No power and a bad eye,Two beatings/year lay off..........................
