Because Manny Pacquiao STILL doesn't know how to cut the ring off. Castillo in the first fight, Oscar (first 3-4 rounds), Ortiz (round 2 and last minute of round 4), they ALL were cutting the ring off, and kept Floyd on the ropes at times. It was effective agression, and they trapped Floyd by cutting the ring. Pac's last fight against Marquez just reassured the fact that Manny still doesn't know to successfully cut of the ring when he's fighting someone who doesn't come straight forward for the kill.
Victor Ortiz can cut the ring better than Manny Pacquiao, he did 4-5 times with success in just 4 rounds with Floyd. Marquez was hardly ever cought int he corner or on the ropes in his fight with Manny a couple weeks ago. Pac just can't cut off the ring. That's one of the main things I noticed again when watching him fight Marquez, that he still has yet to learn how to cut off the ring.
If Pac can't cut off the ring, and trap Floyd on the ropes, how is he going to beat him???
One of the many reasons why this is a mismatch, an over hyped mismatch.
every time he gets attacked he backs up and goes into a shell or he takes a step back and throws a right hook..thats all he has in his right hook is when he steps back. He cant throw his right hook in a stationary position effectively like Mayweather can throw his right hook stationary, coming forward, backing up or moving from side to side.
Manny cant set up punches, he just ambushes his opponents.
Also Physical Strength will be the key factor. Mayweather just walked down Mosley & Ortiz...what is little Pac who will be 145lbs do?
Last thing is Pac cant fight going backward, so I fully expect Mayweather to walk Pac down with ease landing jabs and right hands just as he did with Marquez, Mosley & Ortiz.

We will know how confident these stans are when, during the lead up to the fight, how much points they're willing to bet on and at what odds they'll choose for Pac in the Betting Lounge!! I cannot wait!!
