IBF lightweight champion Miguel Vazquez (29-3, 13KOs) will have additional time to prepare for his mandatory defense against tough Panamanian challenger Ameth Diaz (30-10, 21KOs). The fight was scheduled to take place on November 26th in Mexico, but Diaz's agent, Rogelio Espino, has revealed a new date of January 28th. Diaz became the mandatory challenger when he stopped Australia's Lenny Z in five rounds in August. Vazquez retained his title earlier this year with a lopsided decision over Lenny Z and then knocked out Marlon Aguilar in two rounds in June.
