Just fighter who you think he wouldve faced different. When was the GB/TR promotion dispute over Pac? like 6-7 years ago? Around that time.

Hmm, Pacquiao would have a lot more money in the bank. Roach said it was a better contract. No Michael Koncz. Less of a financial mess. We would have already seen Pacquiao-Mayweather. Pacquiao would still have Roach. Pacquiao would still have been great but maybe greater. Arum has a strong hold on Pacquiao on all aspects of his life. Why was Arum in the Philippines campaigning? Weird. I dont know, but I think Pac might have been better off at GBP.

as much as i hate bob arum and top rank, no one could have done a better job hyping pacman. he would have gotten knocked out by floyd 2 years ago and would have missed out on 5 or 6, 20 million dollar paydays.

I don't think so. Remember the only reason we're all talking pac-floyd literally and not figuratively is because of the delahoya fight. It woulda been a serious conflict of interest to have a fight with the boss.

Bit off topic but I think that if Ortiz stayed with Top Rank his career would have been so much better managed/guided.

What star has GBP produced from the ground up? Their 2 biggest commodities, DLH and Floyd, were both built up from the beginning by Arum. And technically Floyd isn't part of their stable. Manny wouldn't be half the star and commercial success he is now. Even aside from the fight game, Top Rank hired a commercial agent who has gotten him several multi-million dollar deals since signing on. And on the political front, Arum used his connections, funds, and know-how to steer Manny's congressional campaign and has introduced him to such figures as Harry Reid.

Even when Pac's boxing career is over, I'm sure Top Rank will be involved in all his political machinations. Oscar and co can't offer any of that.

Only Abner Mares and his rise to glory has been shakey to say the least.
