If he really goes for it, I think he can.

even if he gets stripped, there's no doubt in my mind he'd be #1 contender. i would almost feel bad for whoever has to face him next.

when he's all healed up, there will be hell to pay.

manny_p, so ll, johnson, and sanders where handpicked? only fighter vitali has selected himself to fight out of his last 5 was danny williams.

if you claim you follow boxing, at least do the research required to know the facts.

one thing king cannot change is that wladimir is ranked #1 in the wbo, ibf. and also #3 in the wbc and wba.

don king is only holding on by a thread and a bit of luck.

You would probably get a better response if we were to simply send them some cashiers checks.

why is donking tis, don king that. I don't give a shyt bout Don King. I care bout fights and apparantly Vitali don't want to fight right now despite being told by a doctor THAT HE CAN! If I was Vitali, I don't need to be forced to give ta belt to Rahman. Tis is stoopid at its best!

                  Done man ...... good post.

Vitali is simply not physically capable of defending his title, so he should be stripped and let a live body carry the champion status.

Vitali has alrearly been wasting everyone's time for 2 years, and there's no sign of it slowing down now.

If he was to have fought and retained his title, odds are he would have tried to spite King and continued fighting the Oleg Maskiev's of the world.

The Heavyweight division NEEDS a unified champion.

I don't think Vitali ever had any plans to unify.

He's a sheltered meidocre over hyped fighter who's inactive and injury prone.

The division is better off without him.

If Vitali is unable to defend his title in the time specified in the rules then he should certainly be stripped, whether its because of injuries or whatever the reason. If he cant defend it then he cant defend, period. Rather than have the belt held inactively get the #1 and #2 contenders to fight for it and then Vitali can fight for it again when he is well. Why should the title be held in suspension because he is unable to defend it, because he has a prominent manager? No way man!!!!
