classic boxing tactics. demand more than the fight is worth. mayweather did the same thing to avoid cotto and margarito. demanded a 10 million guarantee to fight cotto when that's the same amount he got to fight delahoya. arum said thats impossible and floyd is like now i dont have to fight them byeeeeeee!

Yup. John is just one of those fighters where, he's going to fight at home or make a big payday to go abroad. I don't think he'd scared; he took on Marquez and held his ground. he's just not ******. But because Marquez wasn't able to grab that title in Indonesia, no one else is going to go over there and risk it. If you want his belt, you're either going to have to fight him there, or pay him crazy money to put his title up in your backyard.

I used to get mad about foreign fighters doing this, but American and British fighters do it consistently, so whatever. If fighters want to complain about him still being champ, sign up and go take his title off him in Jakarata. Otherwise, I don't mind him doing his thing.

700k is not "almost a million". It's 700k minus every one else who has to get paid.

Floyd made like $30M for the DLH. He couldn't have made that fighting Cotto and Margarito combined in Top Rank.
