I don't understand why at this point (in November 2011) people say Cotto is a true welterweight. I seriously doubt he can make 147 anymore.

His physique in the Pacquiao/Clottey fights were different. He didn't look as thick as he used to. Hell, even when he fought Jennings, he looked thicker.

    I'd say he'd be able to make 150...maybe 149 at best...but 147? Naaah.

I think he's stuck. He's not really a 154 pounder, but at this point of his career after two years not making 147 and with ballooning up in weight in-between fights, he's done at welterweight. DONE.

I agree Cotto best weight right now is 150 and I think that should be his weigh in weight for the rematch and also he should not come over 160-162 for this fight because speed will be a key.

Of course Cotto looked better against Manny, he had to make 145. he was a toothpick at that weight.

I think he started boxing as a teen because he was trying to lose weight or something....he was chubby like checkers
