Former strawweight titlist Alex ‘Nene’ Sanchez returns to the ring after a 35-month absence to headline in the 2011 season finale of ‘Boxeo Telemundo.’ The 38-year old Puerto Rican takes on another former champion in Eric Ortiz at the Kissimmee (FL) Civic Center on December 9.

The bout is scheduled for 12 rounds, with a regional title at stake along with bragging rights in the ongoing in-ring rivalry between Mexico and Puerto Rico.

“We are excited to close out our 2011 schedule with a clash of two former world champions from Puerto Rico and Mexico, which are always a classic,” says Felix ‘Tuto’ Zabala Jr of All-Star Boxing. [Click Here To Read More]

Every show came off that's great in an area hard hit by the economy as many migrants have left...his place, when WV2 fighting regularly there before he won the title would seell out, SRO @ around 4-4,500...good for Tuto...

i've been to three shows there and always entertained every time out, no matter who is on the card. Tuto has done a terrific job in building an audience in that area. Don't know why more shows aren't brought there.
