Comments Thread For: Froch On Ward: No Punch, Not Physically Tough, Homebody

WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch has no problem serving as the underdog on December 17th in Atlantic City. He faces WBA champion Andre Ward in the final round of Showtime's Super Six tournament at 168-pounds.

Both championships will be at stake, along with the Super Six World Boxing Classic trophy.

Froch (28-1, 20KO) is planning to make it a very rough fight for Ward (24-0, 13KO). The Nottingham boxer is not concerned with the bookies picking Ward, but he wants to prove them wrong. He respects Ward's ability as a boxer and doesn't underestimate the skills of the Olympic gold medal winner.

However, Froch doesn't respect Ward's power or the fact that a lot of his fights take place at home - in Oakland, California. [Click Here To Read More]

Ward might not be a hard puncher, but Froch shouldn't question Ward's toughness. I believe Ward has a champions toughness for sure.

      Hard to Choose

I know race doesnt matter but Im a black american, but you gotta love Froch. Every time he says something slick its funny. I love the way he bumped Ward on the stage at a press conference, did yall see that? Anyway Ward is my man, but this is one instance where I really cant pick anyone, but I just want to see a great fight because its a lot on the line. I will be there too. God please let it not be a bunch of grabbing and holding.

I think alot of what Froch does is to imtimidate and get in the mind of his opponent. you cant be serious when questioning ward's toughness. Froch's punching power hasnt exactly been outstanding since he started mixing with world class opposition however i beleive his boxing ability has improved.

Froch hasn't felt the wrath of Ward's head yet.

Wards gonna rush in and head butt then punch like he always does.

And Froch will say, damn that dude got a hard head.

all Froch said is correct, and he forgot 1 thing: Ward wins, and that's the bottom line...

Been had my tickets for this fight when it was supposed to be in October. I like Froch a lot but I am going with Ward. Ward just brings more to the table IMO.
