fighting in Denver will severley hurt miguel as he is not training at high altitude like margarito. I thnk it is really unfair to be honest. As im sure a fighter trains for altitude if he knows he is fighting there. Breathing in that envirnnment is entirely different.

Dr. Goldstein !!! Loool...old Arum is smart...There's no way Goldstein will let his (***ish) bro Arum down...guess he was paid a sh**t load of money plus escorts on the hotel room by TP,
Folks..the fight will move nowhere...Goldstein will clear Margacheato even if he was blind on both eyes

Physiologically your body responds differently at high altitude. That is why athletes train at high altitude. Your body will respond great when going from high to low but from low altitude to high will create an oxygen deficit. Your red blood cells will not carry the same oxygen at such high altitude which will impair endurance. Unless you train there like margarito is doing. This is a logical move for anyone training. Big bear, flagstaff as, boulder Co, all popular spots for endurance athletes to train.

Cotto should of requested the fight be held in Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan. If holds 18.5k people and im sure they could of sold out over there.

its unfair that by moving the venue it gives an advantage to one over the other. without prior notice to train for the fight given the proper location. if i were going to fight in egypt i would train differently than if I were going to fight in alaska. if my promoter said" the fight is in egypt" then all the sudden said , "wait the fight is in alaska", and my opponent just so happen to be training in the frozen tundra while i trained in dubai, then yes I think this would give him an unfair advantage.

NY, Dallas, Vegas, Denver or anywhere in the world, I really don't care as long as the fight happens.

Margarito agreed for the fight to happen in NY. If the fight is no longer possible there, then Cotto should return the favor by agreeing to move the fight somewhere else.

If he doesn't, I will be inclined to believe Cotto is unsure of a win. Any fighter who needs a hometown advantage lacks confidence.

I think Arum won this already. The commission failed to deliver a vote about the situation on friday, and it means the fight will happen unless there's some serious medical issues. But if Margarito got the license in other states by performing the same exams, NY should give it a green light too. As much as everyone hates Arum, you have to give him credit for the tactic he used to delay and blackmail the commission, which is now cornered, and can't stop the fight anymore. The machinery is rolling.

And I could be wrong, but they moved the fight to MSG only because of the Puerto Rican fans (Arum said MSG was the most costly venue of all available), otherwise it would have happened elsewhere already.

You act like Tony won't be looking to parry and deflect shots.

What about Cotto's look of surprise if the heat gets turned up and he realizes they lied to him about Tony Margarito?
