  • This Filipino's observations:

I thought that JMM won, or that it was a draw.
I watched the fight again and scored it a draw, but I would've
accepted the judges' decision, if Marquez had gotten the W.
But that's just me: one Filipino.

Got a haircut here in Quezon City last Wed, and EVERYBODY
there thought Marquez won. Went to Bohol (Panglao Island) for
some snorkelling, and man, even out in the sticks, EVERYONE
was talking about how they thought Marquez should have been
declared the winner, or that it was (at best) a draw.

On TV, radio, in print, it seems the vast majority of my people
feel Marquez won, or that it should have been called a draw...
which is why Pac's reacting the way he is...

by talking out of his ass again.

    • The pathetic part about it is that he's forced to plead for support based on nationality rather than his actual performance. Classic move of a person who knows they lost.

      • Let this be a lesson to all *******s. People who live in glass houses should not throw stones.

For all of you newbie boxing fans. It is very common for a mega star boxer to go through all these issues. The moral is that Manny is just a man like every other man.

        • I'm not filipino and still think Pac won a close fight that could have gone either way. Simple as that.

He doesn't seem to think so, I was repelled when I saw on the 24/7 how he has his followers close to him tattoo their loyalty to him. Its like he thinks himself a god.

Yes, my fiance was watching that and the part where the guy came to drop off his new ferrari and Manny made them all wait until his effin horrible movie that he saw 5000000 times was over before he came down to sign the papers and learn about the vehicle. She was a fan of his until that episode. I warned her ..

              What a ****! lol

At least Floyd is being honest about thinking he is the shit and doesn't pretend to be modest.

                • Yes indeed. They are all the same but some are just more in your face than others. The public can't handle the truth but I know Many feels a relief right now. Playing the good guy is sometimes a burden.

                  • Apologies to everyone.

The statement "Be a Filipino" was used out of context. Filipinos sometimes use ambigous statement that encompasses a wide scope of general idea for a specific meaning. And more often than not give a slightly different translation of what is actually meant, bending it to suit his own view. Example: The writer said President Aquino defended Pacquiao. The president did not, he merely asked not to criticize Pacquiao. Even if Marquez was declared as winner the statement of Aquino would still apply!

If you ask me if Pacquiao won? I'd say he was declared as such. But he is continually losing a lot more in his insistence that he "CLEARLY" won.

Marquez won something far more important that the match itself.

Be a Filipino Manny! F#ck Arum and go to Mexico offer Marquez (whether he wins or not) your purse from the fight for a rematch, beat the heck out of him (if you really think you can) and remove all doubts.

Be a Mexican Manuel! Fight once more and give it your all before you retire. You may get the decision this time ........or lose again but it'll be great for those who watch, eh?

Be a Filipino he says, LOL.
