Being a Filipino and getting real about Manny Pacquiao are far from mutually inclusive - just sayin'.

Doesn't that mean a lot of boxing fans are violent?

As a Filipino, I never take Pacquiao's word seriously especially when he's not talking in his native dialect which is Cebuano or Bisaya coz sometimes when you try to translate a word (on the spot) to another dialect like Tagalog which is what he was using, it could change and Pacquiao was never really good orally when interviewed in the first place.

But based on that report, it's really not that good to hear. Anyways, his bad performance against Marquez serves an eye opener for him and he should never do a lot of things all at the same time.

The 3rd fight with Marquez was the easiest fight physically for Pacquiao, apart from the head butt didn't take much punishment at all.

Cotto, Margarito even Clotty dished out more punishment. If Pacquiao thought he won, then thats what he thought.

Lets not pretend this fight was like Williams vs lara.
...pacquiao can think what he wants...his body language at the end of the fight said it all which was the TRUTH

I agree with you here. A lot of times the intricacies of culture and language are lost in translation, and people will often run with a statement as fuel for criticism.

However, we're starting to see some people defending what Pacquiao appears to have said in this article. It's hardly a defensible position.

Floyd has done he same thing. he says be an American (meaning he wants Americans to side with him on making Pac take the test).

With all this political **** mixed in with Pac. I can't see his team EVER allowing him to fight Mayweather. They have a country that depends on him winning....

The entire country would collapse if Mayweather clowned their national hero, pride and joy... It would be devastating. Mayweather will be looked upon as Hitler....

when you say "they" you are only referring to the educated Europeans at the time of Columbus (who believed the earth was flat btw)...outside of those there were numerous philosophers and the like who believed the earth to be flat..

i tell you what though...i haven't fallen for the myth that pacquiao beat marquez last week...and neither does 71% of the boxing community which includes manny's countrymen....
