i agree with Larry tho.. if your only a fan when the fighter wins in style, then
you were never a fan to begin with!!! Everyone has tough fights and offdays.
that dont take away from what youve already and can accomplish!!

Personally I think it's just the media hype, because Pac's team reacted in such a strange way, even after he beat Marquez. People are so used to having Pac destroy his opponents, that the decision win over Marquez just wasn't satisfying enough. But in reality he won more convincingly than before, just there wasn't any KO, partly also beause Marquez has fought a very safe fight, not taking enough risks to fight Pac on the inside. That's also why he lost.

And you fogot that Pac only touched down in Manila and went straight to the hotel. I'm sure people in his province will meet him like the real champion that he is.

it would be reminiscent of when duran was not greeted by cheering panamanians (but instead hated by them) after quitting against leonard in their second fight. but after duran beat davey moore for the jr mw title, all the people in his country that turned his back on him were the ones cheering for him again on the streets.

Just because filipinos aren't waiting to parade him through the streets doesn't mean he is not loved anymore.. it just means the win wasn't a spectacular shut out deserving of a parade i guess.

The absence of a pac-parade should tell Manny that it was not just Mexicans who thought he lost.
