Martinez is Chavez' mandatory because of his "Champion Emeritus" status. that means HE comes before the mandatory and has the RIGHT to face the current WBC middleweight title holder 1st. Mayweather and Kessler are both "Champion Emeritus" in their weight classes but nobody would b1itch if either of them wanted to fight Canelo or Froch respectively.

For the ones that think Rubio can beat Martinez, well I just don't know what you all are smoking? But, it must be the good stuff. And as far as Manfredo against Chavez. Because of Lampley making bull**** announcements I had a hard time hearing what was being said to Manfredo in between the last two rounds. What I did not hear was his father telling him to go to the body. And I really believe Chavez has a glass rib cage and Peter should have stuck to him like glue and pounded the body. And Chavez was not really hitting Peter with many clean shots in the end and all Peter had to do was grab on. Or I even believe that Chavez was on his way to punching himself out.
