More like a solid trainer. Intensity is what Chad needs while retianing his style. Motivation is the key and Chad has that back.

Scully is one of THE most humble figures in Boxing. He fought many times on TV including a great performance against Micheal Nunn and now trains fighters in the Connecticut area. He doesn't have an arrogant bone in his body.

Hope to see Dawson in more big fights soon!!! Scully is right, when he reels off those combos it's like an artist going to work with a brush painting a masterpiece. Personally i think he's been on the shelf a bit too much.....keep him active, minimum 3 fights a year i think would be good for Dawson.

Iceman, you are absolutely spot on with your take on his detractors aswell. Dawson haters don't really hate Dawson. They are just frustrated because he has a large disparity btw his BEST and his WORST performances (sometimes all in the one fight). When we, the fans see what he can do and the potential he has, well when he isn't living up to it or performing to the best of his capabilities or near it it frustrates us fans. He needs to perform every fight in a similar vein to a Mayweather, who always seems to get up for every fight. If Chad starts fighitng with the same passion and fire that he showed in the Hopkins fight (albeit very briefly) the fans will get on the bandwagon.

I'd love to see a multi fight career plan for Chad.

          - rematch and smoke Pascal.
          - retire Hopkins if he's still complaining
          - Cloud vs Daswon for all the marbles at 175

Then take on any top dogs at 68 who want to move up, then possibly a few fights at HW.

Light heavyweight is going to get really interesting between the guys mentioned along with the Super Six guys moving up, Shumenov, Cleverly, and that wanna be Muhammad Ali from Ukraine.

The thing that always makes me wonder about Dawson is consistency, he has great tools and can look awesome but in the next moment he looks out of sorts and average.

If he fought at or near his best all the time he would be insanely tough to deal with but the peaks and valleys can be maddening to watch because his talent is so obvious that he should never give lesser guys that sort of chance against him.
