Comments Thread For: Peterson: I'm The Toughest Foe Khan Has Ever Faced

Lamont Peterson reckons he is the toughest opponent Amir Khan has faced. The man who calls himself 'Havoc' will challenge the current WBA super and IBF light welterweight champion on December 10th, live on HBO and Sky Sports HD. It will be Khan's sixth title defence in two years and he will begin as the heavy favourite at the Convention Center in what could be his last fight at 140lbs.

Peterson good enough not to be a complete walkover
      don't see him winning though
he couldn't handle pressure from Bradley
Khan is faster and fights smarter than him

Don't know if he's as tough as Maidana but he is certainly up there. I wouldn't under rate Peterson in this fight he could cause Khan some problems.

          Either way Peterson will lose

Peterson could say all he wants that is not going to change the fact he will lose.
Peterson couldn't handle Bradley, who is pretty featherfisted.
Khan is stronger and faster than Bradley.
Khan by KO or very wide UD victory.

I think Peterson is the best opponent he's faced to date. . . Maidana is tough, and powerful, but very crude. . . However, his (Maidana's) style is more suited to beating a guy like Khan than peterson, because Khan is essentially a "SUPER" Peterson. . . Everything Peterson does, Khan does but better, faster, and stronger. . .

Bradley has a very awkward style to deal with, and of course you always gotta worry about that third punch - that DAMN HEAD!!! lol. . . Bradley has a way to get under your punches and up in your grill. He has very good feet, and pretty fast hands. . . He is able to adjust as well. .. Can't really base this fight off Bradley/Peterson. Bradley proved that being short and having shorter arms/reach CAN BE AN ADVANTAGE. Bradley was able to inhibit Peterson from keeping range, and getting off combinations because of Bradley's timing and shorter arms allowing him to turn dem hooks over first! ATE HIS ASS UP on the inside!

I'd agree with this statement. Yeah, Peterson isn't as tough or as strong as Marcos but he certainly does everything else better than Maidana. Peterson is pretty good at everything, not so great at anything. Kotelnik is pretty good in his own right though. Kotelnik is probably a better fighter than Lamont but Lamont being a versatile fighter might give him more trouble. Styles make fights and Lamonts style for Khan will probably cause him trouble. Khan should still roll, maybe something like 8 rounds to 4.

Amir is overrated.... Paul McCloskey was dealing with him with a grin and was on his way to whippin his ass imo.
